The General Assembly will convene beginning Saturday, June 30th and continue through Saturday, July 7th. Commissioners are already participating in weekly instructional webinars and are beginning to read overtures as they become available. The Presbytery’s General Presbyter and Stated Clerk Rev. Phil Barrett will be participating again as Assistant to the General Assembly Moderator. Also, Director of Communications Kim Coulter has been asked to be a reporter for the Presbyterian News Service again.
And at print time we were notified that Rulling Elder Ted Coppock (Des Moines, Westminster), will be attending as Presbytery of Des Moines Overture Advocate for overtures approved by our Presbytery for General Assembly.
